Job Title: Service Engineer

Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
Crescent Gage is growing and would like to expand our Service Department. We are currently in need of a Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining optical comparators and various vision systems.
· Install, calibrate, and repair optical comparators and vision systems
· Analyze and diagnose electrical and/or mechanical issues
· Work with necessary tools and supplies (basic tools, calibration artifacts, cleaning solutions)
· Remain in compliance with our ISO 17025 Accreditation when calibrating and recording data
· Complete internal service reports, record daily activities
· Provide reports that clearly and accurately communicate test results
· Daily customer interaction
· Report to Service Coordinator daily
· Represent the opinions/suggestions of the customers to Crescent Gage
· Maintain a clean work area to ensure workplace safety
Preferred Skills
· Familiarity with inner workings of a PC
· Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams
· Ability to operate and read a multi meter
· Basic soldering skills
· Experience with dimensional measurement equipment
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· 2+ years of relevant work experience
· Competent use of computers and Windows operating systems
· Strong analytical aptitude
· Strong mechanical aptitude
· Exceptional written, verbal, and nonverbal interpersonal communication skills
· Capable of lifting and carrying heavy objects without assistance (40+lbs)
· Self-driven and independent with minimal supervision
· Organized and detail oriented

Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
Crescent Gage is growing and would like to expand our Inspection Services Department. We are currently in need of an Application Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing measurement programs on automated quality control equipment.
• Equipment demonstrations to support sales efforts
• Application studies to support sales efforts
• Work with necessary tools and supplies (basic tools, calibration artifacts, cleaning solutions)
• Remain in compliance with our ISO 17025 Accreditation when performing inspections
• Complete internal service reports, record daily activities
• Provide reports that clearly and accurately communicate inspection results
• Daily customer interaction
• Report to Application Engineering Manager daily
• Represent the opinions/suggestions of the customers to Crescent Gage
• Maintain a clean work area to ensure workplace safety
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Organized & detail-oriented
• Exposure to working in multiple industries: oil and gas, medical, automotive, semiconductor, and defense/aerospace is an asset.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• 2+ years of manufacturing, CNC machining, product engineering, & design
• Metrology experience, i.e. working with CMM and non-CMM dimensional inspection tools/equipment
• Must have a good understanding of General Dimensioning & Tolerancing
• Experienced in working with CAD models.
• Must be willing to travel to customer and vendor sites.
